The Vision Council is pleased to welcome eight new members! The Vision Council looks forward to working with our new members and furthering our mission of industry growth. New members include:

  • Opticians Association of America (OAA)
    Established in 1926 as the Guild of Prescription Opticians, the Opticians Association of America (OAA) is the only national organization representing opticianry’s business, professional, educational, legislative, and regulatory interests. The Opticians Association of America's mission is to serve as the single unified voice of the profession of opticianry and to the commitment of promoting the professional stature of opticians through leadership, education, legislative representation, and communication. Under OAA’s very broad umbrella, individuals providing eyeglasses or contact lenses to consumers, as well as owners/managers of retail optical firms, opticianry educators, state optician associations and societies, and suppliers to professional opticians find a common goal in Advancing America’s Opticians.

    Buyes Optical is a company focused on technology research, manufacture, and sale of high-end optical lenses. We create innovative products to improve visual health through technology by developing innovative and appropriate products. Since its founding in China in 1998, Buyes Optical has focused on providing the highest quality, efficiency and value products and services to our customers in order to provide users with the most comfortable and healthy user experience.
  • Fielmann USA
    Fielmann started with the simple idea of putting customers first. Within a few decades, the Fielmann Group democratized eyewear fashion, pioneered new products, guarantees and services, and eventually grew into the market leader in Central Europe and the third largest optical retailer globally. Fielmann USA currently includes SVS Vision and Befitting.com.
  • Bevel (Incite International)
    Bevel: Founded in 1999 by two friends with a penchant for color and Japanese craftsmanship, we have always stayed true to our original design philosophy and built on our hard earned relationships with our accounts. Founder Richard Mewha and Claudio Arena have since teamed with Uber-talented Blake Kuwahara in launching his collection in 2014–15.
