1 ESSILORLUXOTTICA and Eastman Kodak Company have signed a perpetual worldwide license agreement granting EssilorLuxottica the exclusive right to use the Kodak registered trademarks for products and services in connection with EssilorLuxottica’s business.
2 SAFILO GROUP and Juicy Couture have renewed their global licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing and distribution of Juicy Couture branded optical frames and sunglasses for women and optical frames for girls and teens until Dec. 31, 2027.
3 DE RIGO REM has appointed two directors of sales—David Yazbek has been promoted to director of sales Eastern Region, and Susy Adzhimanukyan has been promoted to senior director of sales Western Region and Canada.
4 OAKLEY has partnered with Track and Field champion Fred Kerley ahead of Paris 2024. Kerley will wear Oakley performance eyewear—Team USA Encoder Strike Vented and Team USA Heliostat.
5 LENSCRAFTERS has opened its first flagship in Canada. The new store is located in Toronto’s Yorkville shopping district.
6 MARCOLIN has completed the acquisition of its own subsidiary in Mexico. After having been present in the market for six years through a joint venture,
the group acquired the remaining 49 percent of the shares of the joint venture.
7 BOLLE SAFETY has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by donating a portion of proceeds from its Rush+ Pink prescription safety glasses for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
8 ECO EYEWEAR from Modo has been chosen to be a part of the world-renowned event Brilliant Minds 2023 for the second year in a row. Eco showcased its carbon negative frames and brand engagement to attendees.
9 ESSILORLUXOTTICA has announced that it will expand into the hearing solutions market. With a dedicated Super Audio team, in-house R&D resources and enabled by its 100 percent acquisition of Israeli startup Nuance, the Group will introduce a new breakthrough hearing technology to benefit the 1.25 billion consumers suffering from mild to moderate hearing loss.
10 SAFILO GROUP and Fossil have renewed their global eyewear licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing and distribution of Fossil optical frames and sunglasses for men and women through the end of 2028.
