Ready to hit the road? RAY-BAN is right there with you in its new communication campaign with renowned photographer Steven Klein. Four new shots starring four characters, each embodying a Ray-Ban icon frame, celebrate the freeing power of a road trip. While escaping from the constraints and demands of modern society, this narrative portrays these forward-looking individuals as they set out on a new adventure to follow their dreams while embracing and accepting their true selves.
“It’s about freedom and letting go,” says Klein. “Living in turbulent times, one of the things that evokes that for many people is a road trip. This campaign represents that no matter what hardships come your way, you can be an individual, go on your own path and experience fun, optimism, creativity, love... everybody’s looking for their own personal freedom.”
All of the characters are wearing a Ray-Ban icon frame that expresses their unique personalities. Styles Marshal, Wayfarer Blaze, Aviator Evolve and Hexagonal are each featured in the images, as well as in the video campaign and in the additional digital content that offers a more in-depth view of the protagonists’ distinct personal journeys. This narrative is a continuation of Klein’s 2017 campaign story with Luxottica and Ray-Ban in which the characters free themselves from their pasts. Inspired yet? Time to plan a trip.
