The past and future converge with OAKLEY sunglass style 2024 MUZM Sub Zero N, a groundbreaking revival of the Sub Zero silhouette from the ’90s. Fusing nostalgic elements with cutting-edge technology, the new style reinvents the brand’s iconic 1992 Max Fearlight Sub Zero frame, translating it into a bold new look.

The Sub Zero silhouette debuted in the original 1992 Max Fearlight commercial, which became a visual declaration for Oakley, setting its tone and mood for over 30 years. Oakley’s latest brand film features Team Oakley athlete Lucas Braathen in Max Fearlight’s original sunglasses defrosted and reimagined, evolving into Sub Zero N.

Oakley achieved the near impossible task of creating a piece of weightless eyewear with a continuous contour lens design for Sub Zero N with an overall weight of less than 20 grams. The frame features a unique “N” lens-cut and custom paint treatments, and is equipped with Plutonite lenses with Prizm Snow Torch Iridium technology for an upgraded vision. Additional colorways include Burn Brush with Tungsten lenses and Carbon Fiber with Black lenses. Each frame is offered with a micro bag and custom Oakley MUZM box sleeve.

The MUZM collection celebrates Oakley’s disruptive history and the bold frame designs that are a testament to the brand’s heritage and continue to define its future and legacy. Each style featured in the collection is selected from Oakley’s archive and enhanced with the brand’s latest innovations, uniting across generations to connect to its rich cultural heritage. The Sub Zero N joins Oakley’s iconic frame styles from the past, including Eye Jacket, Racing Jacket, Mars X-Metal Leather and more.

The launch of Sub Zero N coincides with Oakley’s recent unveiling of its brand evolution, announcing a new era in its innovative legacy with the release of “Future Genesis: Chapter One,” an animated fiction film and ashcan preview comic created via a partnership with Dark Horse Comics. Bridging the original 1992 Max Fearlight film with the 2023 teasers, this new chapter along with the debut of Sub Zero N reinforce the brand’s pioneering spirit, welcoming a new generation of reinvention across the Oakley universe and its visionary future.
