Break Traditional PAL Rules with a Natural Accommodation Dream Lens

By Conlin, ABOC/NCLEC

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, the participant should be able to:

  1. Explain the limitations of traditional progressive addition lenses
  2. Describe the Natural Accommodation Lens (NAL®) concept and its benefits
  3. Explain the brick-and-mortar and e-commerce opportunity with a multi-focal lens that doesn't need a fitting height measurement.

Course Description:

There is a truly new concept in multifocal lenses that overcomes traditional PAL issues caused by a short and narrow intermediate corridor that causes swim, requires an adaptation period, or may result in non-adapts. The NAL® multifocal does not have an intermediate corridor, and its visual field from the top to the bottom of the lens is funnel-shaped and mimics the eye's natural accommodation for any focal length from distance to near. This course describes how the NAL® delivers the youthful visual experience that patients desire in their multifocal eyewear.
