1  MARCOLIN GROUP and Barton Perreira have entered into an exclusive agreement for the broad based international distribution of Barton Perreira sun and optical eyewear beginning Feb. 1. Marcolin Group will begin to bring Barton Perreira’s men’s and women’s eyewear collections to select retailers and optical shops in Southern Europe (including Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy), the Middle East, Eastern Europe (including Russia), Pacific Asia countries (except Japan), Southeast Asia, South America and Mexico.

2  THINK ABOUT YOUR EYES has launched its 2019 advertising campaign which includes TV, radio, online radio, online display ads and paid search—all of which feature a call to action encouraging the public to schedule an annual eye exam.

3  L’AMY AMERICA hhas entered into the luxury eyewear market with the formation of a new luxury company, Ultimate Vision USA. The move comes via the acquisition of Mad Vision and will extend L’Amy America’s reach in the luxury eyewear category with the McLaren, Chris Craft, Henry Jullien and Plein Les Mirettes brands which will be shown at Vision Expo East.

4  SAFILO hand Levi Strauss & Co. have announced their multi-year global licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and distribution of Levi’s branded eyewear, effective January 2020.

5  MARCHON EYEWEAR as appointed Matteo Gaeta as managing director of Asia Pacific. Gaeta will be based in Marchon Eyewear’s regional APAC headquarters in Hong Kong and will serve as a member of Marchon’s global management team.

6  KINGDOM EYEWEAR, owner of Davette’s Lunettes, has acquired the Casanova Occhiali brands including the trademarks, products, intellectual properties and distribution of Taxi, Dolce Vita and couture Casanova Venezia eyewear.

7  SECO INTERNATIONAL has announced J. Max Ernst, OD, will become the next SECO International president.

8  SAFILO has appointed Andrea Zaffin as commercial head IMEA and will spearhead the company’s business in India, Middle East and South Africa.
