2  ESSILOR VISION FOUNDATION (EVF) is thanking ODs around the country for their support and for providing vision care to people in need during this unprecedented time. The foundation was able to give more than 245,000 pairs of glasses to children and adults through its programs designed to help patients overcome the barriers to care through awareness, access and affordability.

5  SHOPKO OPTICAL has announced its steady growth in hiring qualified optometrists and expanding its optical centers during a tumultuous year. The optical company has opened 11 centers within new and existing markets while also hiring 40 optometrists.
