Giving children the gift of sight is a cause close to NFL star Von Miller’s heart. The Denver Broncos linebacker founded Von’s Vision in 2013, a charitable foundation dedicated to providing children of underprivileged families in the Denver area with vision care and corrective eyewear.

The foundation recently launched its newest outreach program Von’s Vision Centers, partnering with eyewear brand ETNIA BARCELONA to further this mission. With support from its own foundation, Etnia Barcelona is the exclusive provider of stylish eyewear for Von’s Vision Centers, which allows in-need students to receive vision care on an ongoing basis without the burden of transportation. Located at select Boys & Girls Club facilities in the metro Denver area and soon to be at Texas A&M University, Von’s Vision Centers are designated as customized optical center kiosks holding eyewear and accessories, creating a unique optical center on wheels.

Volunteer medical providers coordinated through Hero Practice Services will use portable equipment to conduct onsite eye exams, and children and young adults can “shop” for their Etnia Barcelona frames. The Rx-ready eyewear will then be delivered back to the participating Vision Center location for a reveal day to their new wearers.

As part of its contribution, the Etnia Barcelona Foundation has donated over 3,000 pairs of eyeglasses to the vision centers and anticipates serving at least 600 children this year. The first Vision Day was held in May, and additional days combined with other charitable events will take place throughout the year. The partnership is a part of the company’s mission of expanding its growth and outreach efforts to provide vision care and assistance to underprivileged families in the U.S. market.
