Stepping far beyond her usual
20/20 Upfront gig as Street Seen photographer, contributing editor
Christie Walker recently took on the personal missive of delivering readers and sunglasses in Cambodia and Bhutan. Purchasing the glasses from
www.RestoringVision.org for 50 cents a pair, Walker distributed the eyewear as part of her participation in the Habitat for Humanity Khmer Harvest Build in Oudong, Cambodia.
20/20’s Director of Education
Mark Mattison-Shupnick assisted, seeking people outside the capital Thimphu as well as monks in outlying monasteries. Shupnick also visited the ophthalmology department at the Referral Hospital in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Simply stated, we are proud of their efforts.
