Luxottica: Ray-Ban RX
THE NEXT GENERATION

07-2008

Luxottica Group releases nine new styles for the Ray-Ban Spring/Summer ’08 ophthalmic collection. Frames are made of titanium, memory metal and titanium/acetate combinations. Included are variations on rectangular, pillow, bowtie and square shapes in both full-rimmed and semi-rimless styles. Many frames are progressive-friendly and have extended endpieces. Two of the feminine models feature open, wishbone-style temples. Colors range from traditional shades of gold, black, pewter, silver and gunmetal, and classic Ray-Ban tinted havana hues to red, blue and violet.

PHILOSOPHY: “The Ray-Ban eyewear collection embodies the brand’s iconic personality, authenticity and style while continuously evolving to meet today’s consumer demands,” says Vittorio Verdun, Luxottica vice president of marketing. “Ray-Ban adds another dimension of functionality, comfort and value to the brand with the addition of light and flexible memory metal and titanium styles to its ophthalmic collection.”
